Can chimney flashing be repaired without replacing the whole roof?+
Often, yes. The answer depends on the flashing design, condition of the surrounding shingles, chimney masonry, and whether the existing materials can be opened and re-integrated responsibly.
Does sealant alone fix a flashing leak?+
Sealant can be appropriate at specific joints, but it is not a substitute for correctly layered flashing. If the leak is caused by missing, loose, or poorly integrated metal, the repair should address that detail.
